Target 4.3 billion… 'Overcoming Corona' at once

In Incheon, a "Incheon Social Vaccine" sharing campaign will be held to take care of neighbors suffering from Covid-19.

The Incheon Community Chest of Korea held a campaign launching inauguration ceremony at Incheon City Hall on the 15th and began fundraising to help low-income families in the region, small business owners and unemployed people who have been in trouble due to the economic recession.

Our Incheon Social Vaccine Sharing Campaign runs from 15th to 31st July. Its target fundraising is 4.3 billion KRW. On the same day, Incheon Mayor Park Nam-chun joined the Sharing Leader as the first social vaccine individual in Incheon, and Chairman Park Chang-ho of SG joined the Sharing Myungmun Company.

Mayor Park Nam-chun asked Incheon citizens to participate in the launching ceremony, saying, "These days, when we are living in a difficult time due to Covid-19, we need to practice sharing our hearts with our neighbors more than ever."

Donations to gather during the campaign period will be used for "education and care such as bridging the learning gap," "support for the socially disadvantaged such as low-income household livelihood and medical support," "Ting-dong Food Market," "Our House Space Filling Project," and "support for mental health to bridge isolation and depression."

Cho Sang-beom, chairman of the Incheon Community Chest of Korea, said, "I think it will be a better place to live if we share difficulties, add warm hearts, and multiply the power to support each other."
