Incheon Mayor Park Nam-chun visited the site of the public offering of Section 6·8 in Songdo International City and the Waterfront 1-1 zone to check the progress of large-scale projects in Songdo International City.

Mayor Park visited four business sites in the morning of the 22nd, including 6·8 public offering site Art Center, Incheon 2nd Stage Waterfront 1-1 Zone Moonlight Park Golf Course, and asked related government officials to carry out the project. Lee Won-jae, head of the Incheon Free Economic Zone, and others attended the on-site inspection.

Mayor Park was the first among the four business sites to inspect the site for public offering in District 6·8. According to the Incheon Free Economic Zone, a public offering for the June 8th district was held on 1.28km² of land, but renegotiations began in April after a breakdown in negotiations with the negotiators and a court lawsuit. It is currently making efforts to reach an agreement with the aim of normalizing development as soon as possible.

The second stage of the art center Incheon construction project is to build a grand concert hall and museum in Songdo-dong 80-9 next to the first stage concert hall currently in operation. Currently, it has recently started basic planning and feasibility study services with Songdo International Urban Development Limited (NSIC), the second stage of development, and is planning to start construction in November 2023 and complete construction in December 2025.

In addition, the Waterfront 1-1 Tool, which aims to create a hydrophilic space for citizens to access and enjoy the sea, is currently under construction with a process rate of 65 percent and is scheduled to be completed in the first half of next year.

Park then visited the Park Golf Club to check the progress and communicate with citizens who visited the golf course.

The Park Golf Course, which was built in Moonlight Park near Songdo coastal road last month, is capable of holding various competitions on an 18-hole scale and has parking lots (100 facilities), walking paths and bicycle paths, and is expected to greatly contribute to healing, health and revitalizing park use. The park golf course will open and open in July.

"Please do your best to ensure that big projects are carried out smoothly through communication with residents," Mayor Park said during an on-site inspection. "We will take care of the progress of the projects in the future."
