SG, an eco-friendly ascon company, made an announcement on the 2nd that it has signed a memorandum with the Korea Ascon Industrial Cooperative Association on the development of air pollutant prevention technology suitable for the ascon industry.

The agreement is aimed at protecting the health of residents near the Ascon plant and a mutual business agreement that calls for the distribution of eco-friendly facilities to Ascon plants nationwide.

Under the agreement, the Ascon Association aims to co-exist with residents on environmental issues in the Ascon industry, and SG will install eco-friendly Ascon facilities (EGR+) in Ascon across the country and continue to develop technologies.

After the signing of the agreement, SG and Ascon Association will install SG's eco-friendly Ascon facilities (EGR+) at 533 Ascon plants, which are affiliated with Ascon Association. Environment-friendly Ascon facilities (EGR+) produced more than 98% of air pollutants of first-class carcinogens such as benzopyrene, benzene, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and air pollutants.

In addition, SG was selected as the government's "commercialization of environmental facilities for new clean atmosphere green business" organized by the Korea Environmental Research Institute in September last year as part of the government's Green New Deal policy.

Currently, there are 533 ascon factories nationwide, with 800 plants in operation. As a result, size of eco-friendly equipment market is about 360 billion KRW. SG is planning to complete the supply of EGR+ to South Korean Ascon companies by 2023, and actively enter global markets starting with China and the U.S., which are currently applying for patents overseas.
