Inha University (President Cho Myoung-woo) Human Resources Development Institute announced on the 23rd that it signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement with SG, a mid-sized company based in Incheon, to foster future social technology personnel.

Under this agreement, Inha University and SG will cooperate with each other for joint research and mutual support for technology development, industrial-academic cooperation education (internship and field practice) and joint implementation.

The Inha Human Resources Development Institute is strengthening industry-academic cooperation with companies in Incheon to address youth unemployment in the job market, which has been depressed by Covid-19. The two institutions have been discussing industry-academic cooperation in earnest since Inha University graduates joined SG through SG recommendation recruitment requests in March.

"It is natural that SG, which has grown based on Incheon, will support and repay Incheon's talent development," said Oh Se-hyuk, vice president of SG. "We will take the lead in developing local communities and creating jobs for young people through the agreement with Inha University."

Kim Woong-hee, head of Inha Human Resources Development Institute, stressed, "Based on the agreement signed in March with SG's recommendation for recruitment, we will do our best to find and foster talented people by expanding our cooperation in industrial internships and field practice."
