SG in Seo-gu, Incheon, is emerging as a representative company of the region, focusing on people and eco-friendly.

SG focuses on people and eco-friendly because it not only remove first-class carcinogens and odors emitted by Ascon plants, but also uses its own developed ascon eco-friendly facilities that pass the "Specific Air Pollutant Emissions Permit" test conducted by the National Institute of Environmental Research.

In addition, it signed a "MOU" with Seo-gu District Office in Incheon in June last year, and signed a "MOU" with the Korea Chemical Convergence Test Institute (KTR), an institution that issues certified test reports of Ascon products.

It has also been selected as the "Green New Deal Project" led by the government since September last year and has been stepping up efforts to commercialize the Ascon eco-friendly facility project nationwide.

In addition, SG supplied EGR+, an eco-friendly ascon facility, to 11 companies nationwide last year and signed a contract with Incheon Procurement Service to supply ascon worth 14.5 billion KRW in January this year. In particular, it started commercializing EcoSteel Ascon, which is being promoted as a new construction technology, this year.

Eco-steel ascon is an eco-friendly product that improves the performance of ascon (asphalt concrete) by using strong steel slag generated during steel mill's steelmaking process instead of natural aggregate.

Eco-Steel Ascon boasts excellent durability. It has a four-year lifespan, about twice that of the average ascon (2 years). SG operates a quality assurance system that actively utilizes such quality excellence to guarantee the quality of eco-steel ascon for up to four years, twice as high as that of its peers.

SG used eco-steel ascon in the underground section of the high-speed terminal in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, to improve the poor road environment that could not be solved due to frequent underground penetration of seawater, cracks and damage. The bus stop in front of Yongsan Police Station in Seoul also completed construction with eco-steel ascon colors to secure low noise and visibility (color recognition).

SG Chairman Park Chang-ho said, "When it comes to SG, all executives and employees are making efforts to plant an image of an eco-friendly company," and added, "We will make investments to realize this."
