SG, a manufacturer of Ascon and Remicon, announced on the 20th that it has signed a contract with the Incheon Procurement Service to supply Ascon worth about 14.5 billion won.

Through the signing of the supply contract, SG will supply about 252,000 tons of Ascon to the capital area in the first half of this year.

A SG official said, "After the COVID-19, SG is attracting attention as a beneficiary company of SOC, which is a part of economic stimulus package. About 30% of the SOC budget is planned to be used on roads this year.

According to the company, commercialization of EcoSteel Ascon, which is being promoted as a new construction technology, is expected to begin in earnest in the first half of this year. Through this, SG expects the volume of Ascon delivery to the capital area to be maximized.

Meanwhile, the eco-steel ascon developed by SG is an eco-friendly technology that improves the performance of asphalt concrete by using strong steel slag instead of natural aggregate, and boasts ▲ high strength ▲ low noise ▲ durability ▲ economy. The EcoSteel Ascon has 1.5 times the strength of a regular Ascon. And it is characterized by a four-year life expectancy that is about twice as high as the average life expectancy of a regular ascon.
