The Ministry of Environment will provide technical and financial support suitable for business conditions, and will also provide support for the cost of improving decrepit facilities and consulting on preventing odors (such as technical support).

 

Currently, 17 companies are located in the Seo-gu 11 of them are concentrated in the Geomdan Industrial Complex. As a result, Ascon is an urgent problem to solve in order to reduce fine dust and bad smell with the goal of "Clean Seo-gu."

 

In the meantime, Seo-gu District Mayor Lee Jae-hyun has met with Environment Minister Han Jung-ae and Seoul Metropolitan Air and Environment Commissioner Ahn Se-chang to continuously suggest the need for an "air improvement project for Ascon manufacturers."

 

As the Ascon manufacturer in the Geomdan Industrial Complex was finally selected as a pilot project to support air improvement, Seo-gu will set the stage for air improvement.

 

In particular, Seo-gu expects to improve the inconvenience of Kumho Village residents, who have suffered from being around Ascon manufacturers.

 

"Specialized and systematic management is absolutely necessary for specific air pollutant generated by Ascon manufacturers. We will do our best to help residents enjoy eco-friendly lives in a clear and clean environment through the project," said Lee Jae-hyun.
