Lee Jae-hyun, head of the Seo-gu Office in Incheon, said on the 30th that he visited the Gyeongin Ascon branch of SG Co., Ltd. to find out about the development of eco-friendly ascon facilities.

This is a follow-up measure after signing a business agreement with SG Co., Ltd., a patent registration company for pollutant reduction devices, on the 2nd to reduce air pollutants such as odors generated by Ascon companies.

The head of the district office visited the site and personally checked the progress of the development of the optimum prevention facility for Ascon.

At the meeting, Mayor Lee said, "In particular, the development of optimal prevention facilities is urgently needed to solve environmental damage caused by ascon, and this is a leading solution in the Seo-Gu, which produces about 35 percent of the ascon volume in the Seoul metropolitan area," and called for "development of prevention facilities based on accurate measurement data."

In addition, regarding the "Korean New Deal," which is being promoted nationwide, he asked the government to consider linking the joint development of Ascon's optimal prevention facilities to the 'Green New Deal' policy of low-carbon and green industries by streamlining energy management and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

In particular, sharing decades of environmental knowledge and experience in the environmental field with engineers, he stressed that "management of environmental pollutants, such as odors and certain air pollutants, is an issue that requires everyone's efforts and cooperation."

Meanwhile, the development of eco-friendly prevention facilities is urgent in Seo-gu, as the number of Ascon-related complaints is increasing every year, with 17 out of the total 20 Ascon companies (85 percent) in Incheon City concentrated in Seo-gu.
