SG Industrial Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Ascon (Asphalt Concrete) industry SG (SG, 255220), has started a studio business.

SG Industry Development Co., Ltd. is a SG chair company and is scheduled to carry out the 'Eulwangsan IFUS Hill' development project. Currently, SG is preparing a large-scale project to develop about 807,733 square meters of land around the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and Eulwangsan Mountain into a video, cultural and tourism convergence industrial complex.

As the first project, the company launched a large outdoor studio project on Mount Eulwang through a subsidiary. For its studio business, SG Industrial Development Co., Ltd. joined hands with Festa Korea Co. to establish a joint venture, Studio SG.

Studio SG opened in May as the largest outdoor filming studio in Korea and has been filming various genres, including five dramas such as KBS, MBC, JTBC, and OCN, six TV commercials, and 11 idol music videos. According to the company, Studio SG has proved the explosive demand of the video content production company Pras and the need to build a large-scale video studio in the metropolitan area.

An SG official said, Studio SG is fully committed to the outpost of the Eulwangsan 'IFUS Hill' project under way with the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority. We will build a business model for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in conjunction with the IFUS Hill development project, which will become the largest film and drama filming studio in Korea.
